UGADI

Its a loooong weekend people!! :D

It was the festival -"Ugadi" on Thursday... For those who need a brief intro, here it is...

The New year festival or Ugadi comes close on the heels of Holi. While the strong colors of Holi start fading away, the freshness of spring lingers on with sprightliness all around.
Ugadi marks the beginning of a new Hindu lunar calendar with a change in the moon's orbit.
It makes the spring the first season of the year heralding a new beginning. On this day, a dish known as "ugadi pachidi" is prepared and it is the main recipe for the day. It consists of all kind of tastes - sweet, sour, bitter, hot, salty and so on. The thought is: life is made up of a variety of tastes such as difficulties, pleasures, anger, love, hatred and so on. They offer this sauce to everyone who visit their houses.
Thats about Ugadi.

The friday, sat and sun.. just add up to make it a perfect weekend!
I am off on my trip to B'lore for the weekend.

back with a bang!

My apologies.. to all those who have been trying to access the page and weren’t able to, during the last week. I had pulled down the page for a while .. :( will tell you why.. We have always heard about dreams coming true.. Ever heard of nightmares come true??! Hmm that was the case for me. My client onsite got to know of my blog!!! And if I must believe one of my colleagues (call him Tosin), then I have my blog address circulated to all in office! (Biting nails..)Damn!! I cannot imagine them reading all about my dreadful Mondays, the not so lovely con calls, joblessness, etc. Nevertheless I am sure that they understand that these things could well be fabricated (though they are not). But what the heck! Just believe that they are!! And secondly, that these are solely and entirely my personal thoughts. If any of you is still reading this, please know that though I truly Hate my Mondays, I do really really really love the Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.. :P and ofcourse the Saturdays and Sundays are heaven!
Well it was the initial shock that made me pull down the page, but I guess its ok. Blogs are meant for people to read.
But people, its your duty to post comments on what you read. Doesn’t matter if you liked it or not. ;)

endless wait..

Well theres something about me that i dont happen to like much.. but cant just get rid of it either. The point is i am becoming lazier by the day. All i am doing is spoiling myself rotten. Life seems to be revolving around work work and more work. And if i have no work.. like on weekends... i still end up being in front of the damn computer!!! Ask me what i do.. yeah you are right.. Chat.. mails.. read blogs.. browse thru some web pages.. some recipes .. which i implement strictly after six months.. if at all i do! I am baffled.. my lifes getting virtual!! I need to do something about it. Hmm... Thinking.. well.. its about 10 30 pm now.. and i am still at work (Can you imagine that!!! 12 hrs at work! Phew!) Huh! And my brain is not much willing to co operate. Easy way out for now... how about starting it right on this weekend? So lets see.. this weekend i will just not login to my comp.. i swear.. promise! (i hope i'll be able to keep up the promise)

I am actually waiting for my brother to pick me up today. I was held up with work until about 9. And didnt really feel like torturing myslef with the travel back in a public transport. Fortunately hitz (my darling bro) works afternoon shifts until late night.. I know he hates it.. but then, it works good for me sometimes. He said he'd be here at 10.. and its 10 30 now :( Bhaiyya mere.. jaldi se pick up karne aao.. ;) bhaiyya mere.. ! Come sooon Hitz.. (waiting.. )He is going to US sometime mid this year. Wonder how it will be then. Will miss him sooooo much! though he is not a family man.. well wait.. lemme see if that term is right. What do you call a person who just cant keep his feet firm at home? he would rather go freak out wid some friend than be with the family. Wud call him more of a friends guy. His friends i am sure addddddore him. And so do I.
I didnt tell that to him anytime though. Dont ask me why..


Its 10 40 now.. Maybe i can clean up my desk.. Its the most messiest one in my cubicle. With papers lying all around.. and the movie tickets that we have to print out in lab. (I work on a project for theatres.. which requires me to test the ticket sale, refunds, etc) so lots of that stuff.. and three letter pads.. none of which is mine! Wonder who put it on my desk. I'll just place it on someone else's when i go out. Atleast my desk would be a bit clean.
yippie!! Finally Hitz calls! he'll be here in 5 mins.. Desk cleaning will continue tomorrow morning if possible. Atleast the letter pads are off here! :P

Holi Hai!!!!



HAPPY HOLI!!!!!

yeah thats what i looked like today morning!!
Aaj ki Holi mein bahot mazaa aaya! It was one of the best holi's I had so far! Ekdum jhakaas.
Subah ghar pe sab jaldi jaldi uthgaye. Got ready.. applied cream, oil, etc.. in the hope that the color will wear off the next day.. and then went to my cousin's place. Thats the adda where we usually celebrate.. in the backyard of their house. All my cousins.. aunts.. uncles.. and for a change my parents too.. came up to play. My parents never liked the festival much.. esp the colour part of it. The max that they would let anyone do is put up a tilak. thats all..but this time was different. Perhaps coz it's my last Holi here with them before my wedding. Whatever the reason..we had a ball of a time! we finished off by around noon. Cleaned up the layers of colour that we had on.. and then went to the mandir.
There it was another round of coloring and all.. had fun..

Chalo need to get some shopping done today.. see ya all..

I Hate Mondays!

Its about 8:20 pm now. And am still at office. I dont have any work though. Wondering why i have to stay back then?! Well.. Coz i have this crazy weekly call wid the client!! i need to update everyone abt the work i've done for the week! And mind you.. This is inspite of the Daily Status Report that i send out very religiously. Just clarifying in case i didnt make much sense. I have come to a conclusion today.. I HATE mondays... for two reasons. One, for the fact that its a monday.. and second for this conference call i have to attend whether i like it or not!! Damn! Cant we just do it in day time?! The call starts at 8:30 will go on until 9.. sometimes lasts just 10 mins! :( Phew.. Time for call now.. Catch up later.

Certainly a better day today.. :) i just wanted to rush home after the call yesterday, so wasnt able to publish the post. anyways, someone just passed on a chinese birthday chart to me.. and it turns out that i am a DOG... !! Wonder why the chinese chose to characterise based on animals?!?! Dogs, mouse, horse, panther, monkey.. etc. Now that i am a Dog, let me enlighten you about what the dogs are like.. here it goes...

Surprise!!

Sorry to keep you waiting.. These ppl make me work much.. Phew! The good news is i am very happy about the way it has gone. Enjoyed it :)

Now back to what i have been waiting to say... Here it goes.. Ppl.. I am getting engaged!!! Can you believe it?!?!? I am gonna get engaged! Phew! not that i can believe it myself. but still.. I am so happieee! Waise i'd never thought ki meri arranged wedding hogi.. Coz i didnt really believe in it. Always thought as to how can two strangers meet one fine day and decide to get married?!?!?!? Sounds so rediculous right! But then.. it somehow doesnt sound all that rediculous to me anymore.. ;) i have done just that and am more than happy with my guy ;) the not so good thins is...15 days and i havent seen him :( he says he lovvvves travelling.. ! but he cant so much as come to hyd!!! Isn't that crazy?!?!
